Spawning induction in Sterlet sturgeon (Acipenser ruthenus) with recombinant GnRH: Analysis of hormone profiles and spawning indices

In the present study, biological function of recombinant gonadotropin-releasing hormone associate peptide (rGnRH) was tested for induction ovulation and spawning in Sterlet sturgeon (Acipenser ruthenus) broodstock. For this purpose, broodstock were divided into four treatments treated with following preparing procedure: 0.9% NaCl (C); 2.5 ?g kg body weight?1 (BW) LHRH-A2 (luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone-A2, L2.5); BW?1 rGnRH (rGn2.5); 10 (rGn10). The capability eliciting response studied vivo by evaluating changes 17? estradiol (E2), progesterone (P) testosterone (T) its ability inducing final maturation. Blood samples collected at time first injection, h after injection time. L2.5 or rGn10 led to significantly lower E2 concentration compared baseline measures. levels increased rGn2.5 treatment injection. Our possibility using artificial reproduction sturgeons can be introduced as a specific homologue treat reproductive disorders fish.
